About domi

domi (latin for home or house) was created to make the process of finding a place to live in Toronto slightly less shitty. domi continually scans apartment sites in Toronto to retrieve new listings, and sends you a personalized feed of listings in slack, so you don't have to keep manually checking each site. domi comes with advanced location based filtering, allowing users to specify specific areas they want to live in. Check out the video below for a quick demo.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Where does domi get apartment listings from?
  2. Currently, domi pulls listings from Craigslist and Kijiji, two of the most commonly used rental sites in Toronto. Additional sites will be added in the future.

  3. Can I use domi to find a room for rent?
  4. Currently, no 😔. Right now domi does not support the "Room Rentals & Roommates" categories on Kijiji/Craigslist, but this can be added in the future if there is demand.

  5. Why would domi post a listing that is no longer active?
  6. In some rare cases, you may receive a listing that is no longer active. domi checks the active statuses of each listing once a day, so it is possible that a listing gets remove right after it is sent to you.
